Delivering Lifesaving Medical Supplies When Crisis Strikes
When floods swept through parts of Jonglei State earlier this year, thousands of families were displaced overnight. Health clinics were submerged or destroyed, and medical supply chains were disrupted—leaving communities without access to basic care, clean water, or emergency support.
South Sudan Aid quickly mobilized its emergency response program to provide critical supplies to the most affected areas. Working with local partners on the ground, we delivered shipments that included IV fluids, wound care kits, antibiotics, blankets, and protective gear for health workers. These items were not just supplies—they were a lifeline.
One local health worker, Peter, shared:
“We were down to nothing. Then the supplies came. We could treat wounds, infections, and even deliver babies again.”
Our response didn’t stop with delivery. We supported the setup of mobile clinics and trained volunteers to assist in first aid and patient triage. In just two weeks, over 3,000 individuals received some form of medical care.
Crises like this are becoming more frequent due to climate change, conflict, and poverty. That’s why South Sudan Aid continues to invest in rapid emergency response systems—so that when disaster hits, help isn’t far behind.
With your support, we can be there—faster, stronger, and better equipped—to save lives when every second counts.
