Every year, tons of usable medical supplies go to waste. We rescue this surplus and deliver it where it’s needed most—supporting frontline healthcare workers and vulnerable populations in crisis zones, conflict areas, and regions suffering from extreme poverty.

Behind the Scenes With Our Global Heroes

The Volunteers Powering Lifesaving Change

At the heart of South Sudan Aid’s global mission are the dedicated volunteers who work quietly but powerfully behind the scenes. From sorting donated supplies to packing shipments for crisis zones, these individuals make our work possible—often without recognition.

Meet Maya, a retired nurse who volunteers weekly at our warehouse in New Jersey. With steady hands and deep compassion, she inspects every donated item for quality and expiration dates. Then there’s Emmanuel, a South Sudanese student who spends weekends helping coordinate shipments to his home country.

“I feel like I’m helping my people directly,” he says with pride.

These are just two of the dozens of volunteers who power our mission across the U.S. and South Sudan. They come from all walks of life—students, retirees, healthcare workers, and community members—all united by a shared goal: to bring hope and healing to underserved communities.

Volunteers not only make our operations possible, but they also represent a spirit of global solidarity. Every box they pack could help save a life thousands of miles away.

Want to be part of this impact? Join our team of global heroes. Because real change doesn’t happen alone.
